Susan Hopkinson

I have taught yoga in Brussels since 1998, and qualified as a yoga therapist through the Yoga Biomedical Trust (London) and with Mukunda Stiles in 2007. I began studying various approaches to yoga in 1985, and regularly learn from leading teachers in India, Europe, the United States and Canada. BKS Iyengar, TKV Desikachar, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Vanda Scaravelli, David Swenson and Mark Whitwell have been among my most renowned influences, but it is the numerous lesser-known teachers from India and around the world who have contributed most to my deeper understanding of yoga.

My classes are focused and transformational. I believe it's important to teach people, not poses, which makes each class unique, responding to the needs and energy of the moment. Relevant concepts of Vedic and Buddhist philosophy and Ayurveda, India's ancient science of well-being, are woven into my teaching to add depth to the postural practice, which I see as simply one gateway to yoga.

I feel strongly that life's challenges present an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth, and are like signposts on the path to awakening. In my experience, the practice of all aspects of yoga heals, empowers and inspires people. I find it deeply satisfying to watch students tap into their potential and discover and transform themselves through yoga.

My roots are in Toronto, Canada, and since 1991 I've been in Brussels, Belgium, where I live with my teenage daughter and son. My yoga therapy practice includes clients dealing with emotional and physical health issues such as back problems, high blood pressure, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, breast cancer, anxiety and depression. I also use evolutionary astrology as a way to understand one's life purpose. Specialties: Reconnective Healing, Evolutionary Astrology, workshops on hatha yoga, ayurveda, chakras, mantra, mudra, meditation and related subjects of interest. Individual sessions can involve all of the above, and/or spiritual guidance and hatha yoga therapy.

Amina Kamenjašević

Sarajevo, BiH

Amina has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teaching of yoga since discovering its joys and benefits in 2015.

As a foreign language teacher who is currently  developing a program for Harmonious Learning and incorporating yoga techniques in the foreign language classroom, Amina has an extensive background in teaching methodology and tailoring every class to individual needs. She realizes that education in any form is not a “one-size-fits-all”, and that every person is on a different path. She is focused on looking at each person as an entity of its own and guiding them through the process of healing, learning and self-discovery. This way, her students are offered the opportunity to take their own path at their own pace, to modify it when needed and to honor how they feel at all times.

Amina is known for her authentic, non-judgemental teaching style and compassion-centered philosophy. She weaves thought-provoking meditation techniques into her classes, applying Eastern philosophy and Western methodology to our contemporary world in an understandable way. The most important thing for her is to always encourage growth of the physical, emotional and intellectual self.

Amina’s classes are an artful blend of movement and stillness, strength and flexibility, breath and awareness! Each unique class inspires students to bring together body, mind and heart in the present moment, enhancing well-being on and off the mat.

In her classes, Amina encourages students to express and engage with yoga and their being in accessible, authentic, and responsible ways. She believes that yoga is inclusive and rooted in mindfulness. Essentially, yoga for her is an art and science of human empowerment and evolution.

Apart from her enormous love for English language, yoga and teaching, Amina is also a Reiki and Theta Healing practitioner. Authenticity, growth and diversity are her trademark, and as of 2020, Amina has switched to online classes via Zoom and her students love it.

Being a Yoga teacher is a commitment to awaken others to the insights of Yoga, a great gift to the world to be undertaken with honor, humility and a sense of humor. As a teacher, I work close to my students, molding theirtraining according to where they are in their understanding and practice. My intention is to properly train serious yoga students to become strong, confident, knowledgeable practitioners and teachers. In addition to all the relevant information about Yoga philosophy and theory, I put a strong emphasis on developing their personalpractice and cultivating their personal growth. What I have to share as a teacher comes from my own personal experience. An emphasis on proper alignment and technique, discipline and mindfulness, coupled with much compassion to my students describes

my teaching style best. Interests in yoga therapy and Ayurveda.

Christine Henss

Through my grandfather's strong longing for peace and self-control, initial contacts with yoga, relaxation techniques and spiritual issues came about to me as a young child. At the age of 17, during my homestay and French studies in Paris, i received my first yoga lessons but then took up practicing again only 20 years later. Aug 2007, i concluded an intensive Yoga Teacher Training (at Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg, in the line of Swami Sivananda) whereafter Yoga became an essentail part of my life. Since 2008, i have been teaching yoga in gyms as well as yoga centers in Germany, my focus thereby lying on body+mind-awareness. To me, it is a great pleasure and major honour to translate Swami Suryananda from time to time during Yoga and Ayurveda Congresses.

Aischwarya Devi Mary Soukouli

The spiritual path of Mary Soukouli ,was never separated from her own existence. She came across to many different “roads” from her early twenties .Yoga, Christian Esoterism , Ancient Greek philosophy , the power of dance and healing. Each one of them seemed to carry something different but in reality all of them were leading to one and only .To the supreme union with the Divine. As a professional dancer and choreographer she studied many different kinds of dances (Classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern, African, Flamenco, Indian e.t.c). She travelled the world, stayed and worked in Africa and United States and other places. For ten years she had her own Ballet School in Athens. While continuing her work as an artist, she was very close to Yoga and spiritual knowledge.

Many important teachers came across to her life , showing to her even more clear that path . At a very young age, at 1981, she met her Guru, Paramahmsa Satyananda. Her teacher initiated her to the spiritual path of Yoga and she received her spiritual name, Aischwarya Devi.Few years later she met Christos Themeliotis, a great philosopher of Christian Esotericism. Living and working beside him for the following 15 years she acquired immense experience and knowledge in the esoteric metaphysical aspect of Christianity
